Assistant Vice President - Digital Transformation & Process Improvement

1. End-to-end Procurement & Contract Process Ownership

  • Own, maintain, and continuously improve end-to-end procurement and contract lifecycle processes, including baseline and target state designs.
  • Design and standardise processes covering procurement sourcing, contract creation, execution, variation, performance monitoring, and close out.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, control gaps and governance weaknesses, and lead process improvement initiatives beyond system constraints where required.
  • Translate approved procurement and contract policies and guideline into clear, executable processes, and governance touchpoints.

2. Digital Transformation Enablement

  • Lead and coordinate digital transformation initiatives supporting procurement and future contract management capabilities, including readiness for a Contract Management System (CMS).
  • Act as system owner (or future system owner) for digital platforms supporting procurement and contract management, including eProcurement systems, Vendor Management System, Procurement Helpdesk and CMS.
  • Ensure strong alignment between process design, system workflows and approved governance frameworks.
  • Prepare business requirements, functional specifications, test scenarios, user acceptance testing (UAT) plans and benefit realisation metrics (efficiency gains, costing savings, qualitative improvement) for procurement and contract digital initiatives.
  • Define process and system requirements necessary to support contract compliance, performance tracking and lifecycle governance.
  • Enable visibility and discipline across the contract lifecycle through standardised processes and system‑enabled controls.

3. Continuous Improvement & Performance Discipline

  • Define and monitor process performance indicators across procurement and contract functions (such as turnaround time, rework, and compliance touchpoints).
  • Drive adoption of redesigned procurement and contract processes through structured change management and training.
  • Track and report tangible and qualitative benefits arising from digital and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of standardisation, continuous improvement and process discipline within departments and functions.
  • Challenge legacy practices and escalate structural barriers to transformation where required.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Supply Chain, System Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of related experience, preferably with exposure to digital transformation, process improvement or system implementation projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-mapping capabilities.
  • Good understanding of process automation, workflow design and governance-driven process.
  • Ability to bridge policy intent, operational realities and digital enablement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with AI tools (CoPilot, Claude, ChatGPT), procurement, contract, ERP or workflow systems is an advantage.
