Key Responsibilities

 

·  Develop and execute media relations initiatives to promote KWAP’s corporate messages, strategic narratives, and brand positioning aligned with the organisation’s mission and vision.

·  Prepare and manage communication materials including press releases, media factsheets, articles, speeches, briefing notes, media Questions and Answers documents, and other public relations content.

·  Coordinate media engagement activities including media interviews, press conferences, media events, and proactive story pitching to strengthen KWAP’s public profile and stakeholder engagement.

·  Manage external and internal communication requirements to ensure messaging consistency, accuracy, and timely dissemination in accordance with approval processes and corporate guidelines.

·  Create compelling and creative content across multiple communication platforms to enhance KWAP’s brand identity, reputation, and organisational credibility.

·  Support the planning and execution of advocacy and communication campaigns, ensuring effective delivery of communication-related initiatives and tactical plans.

·  Produce high-quality written and editorial content in both English and Bahasa Malaysia tailored to diverse target audiences and communication objectives.

·  Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends while responding appropriately to media enquiries and potential reputational issues.

·  Analyse communication and public relations campaign performance using relevant analytics and reporting tools to evaluate effectiveness, audience engagement, and areas for improvement.

 

 

Key Requirements

 

·  Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Corporate Communications, Mass Communications, Marketing Communications, or a related field.

·  Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in the communications field, preferably in public relations, corporate communications, media relations, or content development, with strong exposure to managing communication initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

·  Exposure in Public Relations roles within corporate organisations, GLCs, GLICs, or agencies is preferred.
