Associate - Policy Management & Governance

Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Development & Enhancement
- Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis to support the development and enhancement of investment policies, investment guidelines, and governance frameworks.
- Prepare policy papers, draft policy provisions, recommendations, and supporting documentation based on research findings and stakeholder inputs.
- Assess strategic, operational, investment, and governance considerations arising from policy and guideline initiatives.
- Present research findings, policy proposals, and recommendations to stakeholders and working groups to facilitate decision-making.
2. Policy Governance & Maintenance
- Support the periodic review and maintenance of investment policies and guidelines to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness.
- Monitor issues arising from the implementation and application of policies and guidelines and recommend improvements where appropriate.
- Maintain governance records, including approval documentation, amendment logs, version control records, and supporting evidence.
- Support governance reviews, audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives relating to investment policy governance.
3. Policy Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Review investment-related proposals and documentation to identify policy, governance, and compliance implications.
- Provide advisory support on the interpretation and application of investment policies, guidelines, mandates, restrictions, and governance requirements.
- Support the review of investment-related arrangements, including side letters, exceptions, waivers, and governance provisions.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to communicate policy developments, governance requirements, and approved amendments.
- Monitor market, regulatory, and governance developments to identify opportunities for policy enhancement and governance improvements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Corporate Governance, Political Science, Public Policy, Sustainability, Business Administration, Economics, or any other related disciplines.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant working experience in policy development and management, governance, regulatory affairs, sustainability, research, strategy, project management or related fields, including experience in drafting, reviewing and maintaining policies, guidelines, procedures or governance frameworks.
- Exposure to or experience in investment-related matters, including investment management, corporate finance, fund management, capital markets, investment governance, sustainability, responsible investment, Environmental, Social, and Governance-related matters, or other investment-related matters would be an advantage.
- Working experience in a regulatory, governance, policy, risk, compliance, investment or financial services environmental would be an advantage, such as experience with regulatory bodies, asset management companies, fund management companies, investment banks, pension funds, financial institution or other related organisations.
