Associate - Write Off, Collection and Recovery Unit

Key Responsibilities

 

  1. Project and identify government debts that have reached the seven (7)-year period for write-off consideration.
  2. Ensure that all Akuan Belum Terima (ABT) write-offs are processed in accordance with the prescribed seven (7)-year period from the date the debt was incurred.
  3. Collaborate closely with the Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA) team to obtain the family tree information from the National Registration Department of Malaysia (JPN).
  4. Review and validate the calculated amount to be retrieved from the bank and subsequently submit the application to the Collection Unit for further action.
  5. Review notification and reminder letters to the next of kin, ensuring compliance with the stipulated timeframe as prescribed in relevant government circulars and guidelines.
  6. Oversee the preparation of detailed case chronologies, review the finalised versions before submission to JPA for further action.
  7. Ensure that write-off transactions are properly recorded and approved by authorised officer in the system.
  8. Prepare and maintain accurate monthly write-off reports and ensure timely submission.
  9. Collaborate closely with stakeholders to resolve issues related to write-offs and other related matters.
  10. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Collection & Recovery Unit (CRU) from time to time.

 

Key Requirements

 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
  2. Minimum four (4) years of experience in processing-related operational functions.
  3. Knowledge of government employment terms and conditions is an advantage.
