Associate - Write Off, Collection and Recovery Unit

Key Responsibilities
- Project and identify government debts that have reached the seven (7)-year period for write-off consideration.
- Ensure that all Akuan Belum Terima (ABT) write-offs are processed in accordance with the prescribed seven (7)-year period from the date the debt was incurred.
- Collaborate closely with the Public Service Department of Malaysia (JPA) team to obtain the family tree information from the National Registration Department of Malaysia (JPN).
- Review and validate the calculated amount to be retrieved from the bank and subsequently submit the application to the Collection Unit for further action.
- Review notification and reminder letters to the next of kin, ensuring compliance with the stipulated timeframe as prescribed in relevant government circulars and guidelines.
- Oversee the preparation of detailed case chronologies, review the finalised versions before submission to JPA for further action.
- Ensure that write-off transactions are properly recorded and approved by authorised officer in the system.
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly write-off reports and ensure timely submission.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to resolve issues related to write-offs and other related matters.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Collection & Recovery Unit (CRU) from time to time.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fields.
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in processing-related operational functions.
- Knowledge of government employment terms and conditions is an advantage.
