Senior Associate, Fund Level Strategy & Advisory

Key Responsibilities
- Support the formulation, review and enhancement of Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) by assessing return objectives, risk parameters, liquidity requirements, withdrawal obligations and other strategic investment considerations.
- Conduct asset allocation studies, scenario analyses, portfolio modelling and impact assessments to support fund-level investment decisions.
- Assist in developing KWAP's annual investment strategy, including return targets, investment scorecards and strategic investment priorities.
- Monitor and analyse portfolio positioning against approved SAA and Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) frameworks and support the execution of tactical investment initiatives.
- Prepare and review periodic reports, including weekly asset allocation reports, investment strategy papers and presentations for management and governance committees.
- Conduct research and analysis on macroeconomic trends, capital markets, asset classes and thematic investment opportunities to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the preparation of investment-related submissions and approvals with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities where required.
- Collaborate with investment, risk and other internal stakeholders to evaluate investment opportunities and assess portfolio implications.
- Contribute to departmental research publications, including sector coverage, thematic research and market outlook reports.
- Review and update policies, guidelines, SOPs and governance documents to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and investment best practices.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Investment, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in asset allocation, investment strategy, portfolio management, investment research or related fields.
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, risk-return analysis and capital market dynamics.
- Experience in financial modelling, scenario analysis, investment analytics and quantitative research.
- Strong analytical, report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and investment research platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet or equivalent tools.
- CFA, FRM or other relevant professional qualifications would be an added advantage.
